Pet Safe Fence
Most people and their families love dogs. It is therefore not surprising that many families have at least one dog in their homes. With the American dream being to own a home for you and your family, it is not surprising that when shopping for a home people are now considering the safety of man’s best friend. However, what of you owned your own home, one that never had a fence before you got this new addition to your family. You will now have to conceder purchasing a pet safe fence. Not only do you need this to keep your pet safe, you will also need it to keep your neighbors and your wallet safe from your pet. What this means is preventing your pet from running loose and injuring a passer-by which will incur a doctor bill and or a lawsuit.
One of the most effective solutions is to actually construct a fence with a gate for your dog. This fence can either be made of brick, wood or any other fencing materials. Once it is properly installed and the gate is kept closed it will prevent your dog from running outside the boundaries of your home. Although this is an effective method of preventing your dog from attacking people or simply running wild, we sometimes live in an area where there are restrictions in what you are allowed to do with your home. Constructing a pet safe fence (in the form of a physical fence) may not be an option.
The next viable option is to purchase what is called an invisible pet safe fence. Basically what this system is is a set of wires placed above or underneath the ground around the area that you want of your home, an electronic collar and a receiver. How the system operates is straightforward, if your dog goes towards the border the wire (underneath or above) will transmit an indication to you using the receiver. The response is the first stop your pet from exiting the premises by first sending a beep followed by a gentle shock if the animal continues to try to leave the property.
Normally the dog will learn that attempting to cross the barrier is bad and will desist from doing so. The advantages of using the invisible pet safe fence in place of a physical fence are as follows:
• It reduces your worry about the safety of your dog
• It helps train your dog
• It is less tedious than having a physical fence
• It allows your dog to enjoy freedom
If you have a dog that likes to misbehave, tends to bark or potentially bite others then you will need a pet safe fence to keep them restrained. This will keep them safe and give you the peace of mind that you desire.
